Sickness Certificates
Statutory sick certificates are only issued by doctors after the first 7 calendar days of any absence from work. If your employer insists on a sick note in the first 7 days of your absence from work, you will need to complete a self certification form. Any other certificates are not provided under the NHS and will incur a fee.
