Requesting Tablets to Delay Your Period

Non-urgent advice: Requesting Tablets to Delay Your Period

Please note that advice and prescriptions for delaying your period are no longer routinely offered on the NHS.

Due to limited appointment availability, we recommend that you first speak to your local pharmacy — either in person or through an online pharmacy service. Many are able to provide this medication quickly and conveniently.

If your pharmacy is unable to help, you can submit an online consultation through our website. You will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire. If appropriate, we can issue a private prescription, which carries a £33 fee. This fee applies regardless of whether you usually pay for NHS prescriptions. Please note that the pharmacy will also apply their own charge for dispensing the medication.

If you are under 18, pharmacies may not be able to provide this service. In such cases, we can manage your request — but please ensure you leave plenty of time before your intended travel or event.

Thank you for your understanding.
